The name of this site is taken from the old-timey word guttersnipe. There are two definitions:

1. a homeless vagabond and especially an outcast boy or girl in the streets of a city

2. a person of the lowest moral or economic station

Since I’ve been either underemployed or unemployed since I graduated law school in May 2010, I pretty much feel like a guttersnipe. It’s pretty stressful, and this blog is just my way of expressing my frustrations with the job market and to convince myself that I’m not a lazy bum.

Additionally, I hope that this blog will connect with you in some way. I know there are millions of unemployed people across the country and the world. I hope what appears on this blog helps express what we are all going through.
